The couple has added another member to their family.
On Tuesday, February 11, TV personalities Iya Villania and Drew Arellano happily shared to the public that they have welcomed their fifth child.
The Kapuso hosts gave the healthy baby girl the name Anya Love, which they shared in a separate joint Instagram post.
Hours prior to her delivery, Iya updated her followers on social media, where she also revealed that she experienced prodomal labor.
According to the American Pregnancy Association, prodomal labor refers to a “false labor” that occurs before active labor, bit does not necessarily progress toward delivery.
Iya wrote in the said post, “Been experiencing contractions pretty frequently throughout the day, but nothing major enough for me to do anything about it. Don’t want to be sent home from the hospital agaim like a newbie.“
“Will wait for a major sign like water breaking, bleeding, or stronger contractions,” she added.
In her next story, the “24 Oras” segment anchor shared that she had given birth, writing, “She’s here! And wow, what a delivery,” adding that she went to the hospital at 10:00 am, and after 52 minutes, Anya finally went out.
Iya and Drew were showered with congratulatory messages from their friends and showbiz colleagues, led by the likes of Megan Young, Lovi Poe, Carla Abellana, Bianca Gonzalez, Suzi Entrata, and Donita Rose, among others.
The Arellano couple tied the knot in 2014 after 10 years of dating. They later welcomed their first son, Primo, in 2016, followed by Leon in 2018, Alana in 2020, and Astro in 2022.
