The actor-entrepreneur took time to share his past experiences in running his growing food business.
In an Instagram post, Kapuso star and ‘Pambansang Ginoo’ David Licauco celebrated the opening of a new branch of his restaurant, Sobra.
“My personal entry for how we started vs how it’s going. What I learned from Sobra from the past 4 years is that when you’re passionate about something, you’ll go the extra mile to achieve it,” he wrote in the caption.
He continued, “What you mostly see on social media is only the tip of the iceberg. What people don’t see is the work you put in behind the scenes.”
Licauco then shared his past experiences, which included personally booking delivery riders, posting on random Viber community groups, going up and down an elevator, and sourcing the best suppliers.
“All of these may seem tiring and daunting, but it’s definitely rewarding when you see the fruits of your labor,” he wrote.
He then left a inspirational message to those who are dreaming, “keep chasing your dreams!”
David has been casted in multiple Kapuso serials over the years, including starring roles in ‘Heartful Café’ and ‘Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune’.
In 2022, he made his breakthrough by breathing life to the chacater Fidel in the series ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra,’ where he was shipped with Barbie Foteza’s Klay — paving the way for ‘FiLay’ that later morphed into the ‘BarDa’ love team.
Since then, they have been paired together in several projects, such as ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ and the recently-concluded ‘Pulang Araw.’
On the business front, he also owns another restuarant named Kuya Korea.
