The flag carrier has reached another milestone.
In the recently-released report by aviation analytics firm Cirium, it listed Philippine Airlines (PAL) as the 7th most on-time carrier in Asia in the year 2024.
It leapt a spot higher from its 8th place finish in 2023.
It added that PAL achieved an average punctuality rating of 76.06% over 112,000 flights across the Philippine flag carrier’s global network.
PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng said the company greatly appreciate the recognition for “the monumental efforts” of their employees, service partners and industry stakeholders.
Ng also added that this on-time performance milestone, “affirms the long-term investments” ths carrier is making in enhancing reliability and efficiency in its entire operations.
The seventh-place ranking puts PAL ahead of most Southeast Asian, Chinese, Korean and Australian carriers.
Airlines from Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Australia rounded out the top ten list for 2024.
