They are joining forces for a new project after a decade.
On Wednesday, December 18, Project 8 Projects unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming movie topbilled by iconic ’90s love team of Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal.
Titled ‘Ex Ex Lovers,’ the two stars will portray the roles of estranged partners, with Magdangal’s character Joy needing to look for Agustin’s Ced in Valleta, Malta for their daughter’s wedding.
Funny encounters ensue, as Joy and Ced bicker and in one scene, the Marvin and Jolina even paid homage to their famous “bestfriend” scene in the movie ‘Labs Kita… Okey Lang?’
Aside from the iconic love team, Loisa Andalio and Juan Karlos Labajo will also be joining them in the upcoming movie directed by JP Habac and is set to be released in 2025.
‘Ex Ex Lovers’ will mark the on-screen reunion of Marvin and Jolina after last starring together in the ABS-CBN afternoon series ‘Flordeliza’ back in 2015.
Since then, they have only been seen in public sporadically, such as the time when Agustin appeared as a guest in Magdangal’s morning talk show ‘Magandang Buhay’.
Some of the duo’s most notable projects include the ’90s youth-oriented show ‘Gimik’ and ‘Labs Ko Si Babe’ on ABS-CBN, as well as ‘I Luv NY’ and ‘Dear Friend’ on GMA.
