Aside from the comeback of award-winning screen actress Hilda Koronel to the local showbusiness scene, the upcoming period-thriller movie ‘Sisa’ will also be featuring two other stars.

Confirmed to join Koronel in this Jun Robles Lana movie are Eugene Domingo and Jennica Garcia.

At the moment, their characters have not yet been revealed, although the story had been said to be taking place during the World War II.

Additionally, the producers are aiming to premiere the movie in time for the next Cannes Film Festival in 2025.

‘Sisa’ will be an international co-production between The IdeaFirst Company, OctoberTrain Films, Quantum Films, CineKo Productions, CMB Films, and Forever Group from Myanmar.

Some of Hilda Koronel’s most-notable projects are ‘Maynila Sa Kuko Ng Liwanag’ and ‘Insiang’ by National Artist Lino Brocka and Mike de Leon’s ‘Kung Mangarap Ka’t Magising.’

Prior to her showbiz hiatus, her last project was the blockbuster movie ‘The Mistress’ with Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, and the late Ronaldo Valdez.

Meanwhile, Eugene Domingo is known for her portrayals in various flicks like ‘Ang Tanging Ina’ and its three sequels, the ‘Kimmy Dora’ and ‘Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank’ trilogies, and ‘Barber’s Tales.’

She will also be seen in the upcoming 50th Metro Manila Film Festival with her distinct roles in ‘Espantaho’ and ‘And The Breadwinner Is,’ which is also directed and written by Jun Robles Lana.

As for Jennica Garcia, she is the daughter of award-winning actress Jean Garcia and has since carved a path of her own in showbusiness for the past 15 years.

Her recent roles as Lala in the teleserye ‘Dirty Linen’ and as Sarah in the ongoing Prime Video drama ‘Saving Grace’ have both given Garcia favorable responses from viewers for her acting.
