The season 87 finals MVP is heading to South Korea.

On Tuesday, December 17, Suwon KT Sonicboom offically introduced University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons player JD Cagulangan as its newest signing.

The revelation came days after Cagulangan and his fellow teammates brought glory to UP after clinching the championship in the men’s basketball finals of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP)’s 87th season last Sunday, December 15.

In the said match, they defeated their rival team Green Archers from the De La Salle University (DLSU).

Suwon was also the former team of Dave Ildefonso, another former UAAP player from the National University (NU), who had ended his contract with the Korean team earlier this year.
