The homegrown fastfood chain has expanded its presence in the neighboring country.
Last Thursday, December 12, Jollibee officially opened its 200th store in the neighboring Southeast Asian country of Vietnam.
According to Jollibee Group Global CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong, the move “signifies the acceleration of Jollibee’s global expansion, bringing us closer to our vision of becoming one of the Top 5 restaurant companies in the world.”
Meanwhile, for Jollibee President for Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia Dennis Flores, this expansion is a “testament” to the brand’s ability to appeal to diverse markets.
“By staying true to our commitment to deliver great-tasting food with consistent quality and warm friendly service, while listening closely to each market’s preferences and constantly innovating, we are poised to further accelerate our growth momentum,” he said.
The fastfood chain has steadily grown its presence in Vietnam since it first launched in the Hanoi area back in 2005.
According to its website, JFC owns multiple brands under its portfolio, including its namesake Filipino fastfood chain Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (CBTL), Highlands Coffee, Smash Burger, and Milksha.
The group also operates the Philippine franchises to popular global brands like Burger King, Panda Express, and 50% of Yoshinoya Philippines.
Last November, it scooped up another major chain when it acquired the Tim Ho Wan restaurant chain that has 80 stores in 11 countries.
