On Monday, November 25, Philippine-based hotel and resort brand Solaire revealed that it has signed South Korean personality Psy to become its new ambassador.

Solaire’s executive vice president Cyrus Sherafat said that the company is “delighted” to welcome the celebrity to its family, noting Psy’s global appeal as a performer.

“His artistry and charisma resonate with audiences not just in Korea, but around the world,” Sherafat said.

With the partnership with the artist-businessman already in place, collaborations are already in the pipeline between him and the Pinoy hotel and resort brand.

In March 2013, Solaire opened the first branch located on a 8.3 hectare land in Parañaque City’s Entertainment City district, near the Manila Bay.

The Solaire Resort and Casino complex in Parañaque has 800 rooms across its two phases, a nearly 200,000 square-foot casino, the more than 1,500-seater auditorium named ‘The Theater at Solaire,’ multiple dining options, luxury retail outlets branded as ‘The Shoppes,’ and more.

Last May, it launched its second location, Solaire Resort North, in Quezon City, which houses 530 hotel rooms, a rooftop swimming pool, selection of restaurants that include Fresh International Buffet, Finestra, and Red Lantern, a four-level casino, among others.

Aside from the two IRs, according to the about page in its official website, Bloomberry also has investments in South Korea via its subsidiary Solaire Korea Co., Ltd.

Meanwhile, Psy made his debut as a rapper in the 2000s, before taking the world by storm with his wildly popular track ‘Gangnam Style’ that made headlines after becoming the first YouTube video to gain 1 billion views.

Also included in his discography are the singles like ‘Gentleman,’ ‘Daddy,’ and ‘New Face.’

At present, he also owns the talent management label P Nation, also home to artists like Hwasa, Heize, and boy band The New Six (TNX).
