This comes after the release of the now-deleted controversial poster.

Through her Instagram page, ‘Asia’s Songbird’ and Original Filipino Music (OPM) icon Regine Velasquez-Alcasid shared a photo of the bouquet of flowers that she received from the ABS-CBN Digital team.

In the letter attached, the team wrote: “Dear Ms. Regine, we would like to sincerely apologize for the oversight in the promo material released yesterday [November 20].”

The message continued: “We have deep respect and admiration for your craft [and the] remarkable contribution you have given the music industry.”

The digital team also assured her that they “will strive to do better moving forward” and thanked the icon for understanding the situation.

In the caption, Velasquez-Alcasid said: “Oh thank you very much [and you] didn’t have too (sic), but I appreciate it.”

She also used the hashtag “kalma,” which is her simple message to her supporters who have raised concerns over the controversial material.

The issue stemmed from the erroneous poster uploaded on the network’s social media pages for the Myx Music Awards 2024, which is being held this evening.

In the deleted pubmat, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Gloc-9, both regarded as big personalities in the OPM scene, were said to have been incorrectly billed as their images and names put below other artists.

This prompted Velasquez’s fans to call out the poster, which led to its eventual deletion.

For their part, music channel Myx has also sent their own apology message to Regine Velasquez, but clarified that the post “was not cleared with the management.”
