Cha Eunwoo, Park Eunbin to star in ‘The Wonderfools’

The actors are joining forces for a new fantasy series.

Through a post, streaming platform Netflix officially announced their upcoming comic action series titled ‘The WONDERfools.’

Starring in their first project together are ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo’ lead actress Park Eunbin and ‘True Beauty’ actor Cha Eunwoo, a member of the K-pop boy group ASTRO.

Alongside Park and Cha are K-drama heavyweights led by actress Kim Haesook, who played Choi Wondeok in ‘Start-Up’ in 2020; Choi Daehoon, Im Sungjae, and Son Hyunjoo.

Set in the year 1999, ‘The Wonderfools’ will follow the story of people from a small neighborhood in Haeseong who suddenly become powerful and try to save the village from villains.

The drama marks the return of Park Eunbin after her portrayal of the role of Seo Mokha in ‘Castaway Diva’ in late 2023.

Meanwhile, the series will be Cha Eunwoo’s next leading role after doing the revenge melodrama ‘Wonderful World,’ where he was casted as Kwon Seon Yul, that aired in early 2024.

‘The Wonderfools’ is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2025.
