It has been awhile since his last solo music release.
Korean pop superstar G-Dragon made his first solo comeback in seven years after dropping his new single titled ‘Power’ on Thursday, October 31.
A hip-hop track, the two-and-a-half minute-long song reflects GD’s personal style and sound. As of writing, it has been viewed more than 3.5 million times on video-sharing site YouTube.
‘Power’ is a collaboration between the singer-songwriter’s current agency Galaxy Corporation and EMPIRE Distribution of Palestinian-American Ghazi Shami.
Prior to the song, G-Dragon’s last comeback was in 2017, when he dropped his self-titled extended play ‘Kwon Ji Yong’ that carries the lead single ‘Untitled, 2014.’
In 2006, GD became one of the founding members of the legendary boy band BIGBANG, known for their smash hit songs like ‘Haru Haru,’ ‘Lies,’ ‘Fantastic Baby,’ and ‘Bang Bang Bang,’ among others.
He also formed a sub-unit with fellow band member Taeyang, named GD X Taeyang, and released the song ‘Good Boy’ in 2014.
GD & TOP, his other sub-unit with former BigBang member T.O.P., was established in 2010.
G-Dragon also has rich solo music career, having released the likes of ‘Heartbreaker,’ ‘Crooked,’ ‘Coup d’Etat,’ and ‘Who, You?’.
