This was caused by the plugs that were uploaded and aired by the network in recent days.
A recent poster uploaded on TV5’s social media accounts started teasing a new personality that will be hosting one of the network’s programs.
“May ‘K’ ka bang harapin ang mga isyu? Kami, MERON NA! Abangan,” it wrote as the caption for the post alongside the hashtag ‘KFaceNaTV5.’
The poster, which highlights the word ‘mukha’ with the K in uppercase, as well as the word “face” in the background has caused the netizens to speculate one thing: ‘Face 2 Face,’ the tabloid talk show currently hosted by Karla Estrada and Alex Calleja, will be getting a revamp.
It then spurred the rumor that veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez will be taking over the main hosting role from Estrada.
In turn, the current ‘F2F’ host will reported be pursuing a Congressional seat as nominee of a partylist that will be joining the race in the upcoming 2025 midterm polls.
If true, ‘Face 2 Face’ will add to Korina Sanchez’s current portfolio of shows, which is led by her weekly magazine program ‘Rated Korina,’ talk show ‘Korina Interviews’ on NET25, and the Bilyonaryo News Channel’s flagship newscast ‘Agenda.’
As of the moment, TV5 has not yet confirmed, nor denied the circulating rumors.
But video plugs airing on the network has since teased that the “new face” will bring a new flavor to the ‘Hapon Champion’ afternoon block of the station starting Monday, October 21.
More details will be provided as soon as they become available.
