After eight months, she finally returned to the stage.
On Sunday, October 13, a familiar face appeared on the ABS-CBN Sunday musical-variety show ‘ASAP’ anew.
This time, it is the country’s ‘Majestic Superstar’ and ‘Dance Royalty’ Maja Salvador who not only returned to the stage of the Kapamilya program, but also belatedly celebrated her 36th birthday.
The performance marked Maja’s first on TV after giving birth to her daughter Maria last May, as well as her ‘ASAP’ comeback after performing her single ‘Sugal’ amidst her pregnancy back in February.
Vividly ecstatic, the actress-host was reminded of her days as a teenager performing on the show, as it becomes witness anew to her new milestone as a mommy.
“I have my Maria now, but still, nandito pa rin po ako sa inyo mga Kapamilya, nag-pe-perform para sa inyo,” Maja said after giving thanks to her ‘ASAP’ family.
On her motherhood, she shared that “[k]ung dati akala ko, complete na. Nung dumating si Maria, ‘yun pala talaga.”
Salvador is one of the artists that have already or will make their “homecoming” as part of the noontime show’s countdown to their upcoming 30th anniversary in February 2025.
Last Sunday, October 6, the comeback of James Reid to both ‘ASAP’ and ABS-CBN kicked off the series, where it was also revealed that three more stars are making their way back “home” in the succeeding weeks.
Aside from Maja, the recent episode also saw the comeback of Lovi Poe as she made a guest appearance to promote her upcoming movie titled ‘Guilty Pleasure.’
