She is set to return with a new song.

In a social media post on Tuesday, October 1, fans of Korean pop star Jennie Kim welcomed the month with a new teaser drop from the Blackpink member.

The 18-second clip released on the official page of her management label OddAtelier, the K-pop star is seen sporting a curly hair while biting a cherry and the snippet of the single playing as the background music.

In the caption, the agency revealed that Jennie’s new solo song, titled ‘Mantra,’ will be released on Friday, October 11.

‘Mantra’ will be the follow-up song for her after dropping ‘You and Me’ in December 2023.

Recently, she also announced that she has reached a partnetship deal with United States-based record label Columbia Records, the agency of renowned singers Beyoncé Knowles and Celine Dion, among many others.

Jennie debuted in 2016 as part of the third-generation K-pop group Blackpink, along with fellow members Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa.

They became well-known in their home country and abroad, thanks to their successive hit songs ‘Whistle,’ ‘Boombayah,’ ‘Playing with Fire,’ ‘As If It’s Your Last,’ ‘Ddu-du Ddu-du,’ ‘Kill This Love,’ ‘Lovesick Girls,’ ‘Pink Venom,’ and ‘Shut Down,’ among many others.

Late December 2023, she formally launched her own agency OddAtelier — the new company that would oversee her solo career.

At present, all four members have individually established their own labels for their solo projects.

Although, the team’s original label, YG Entertainment, will remain as the parent studio for their group activities moving forward and in fact, will be promoting as a four-piece group anew in 2025.
