David Archuleta returns to the Philippines for ‘The Best Of’ concert

On Saturday, September 14, ‘American Idol’ alum David Archuleta will be holding his first concert in the Philippines after six years.

Titled ‘The Best Of David Archuleta,’ the 33-year-old singer will bring his fans on a walk down memory lane as he is set to perform during the concert, which will at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, his songs like ‘Crush’ and he even teased doing a cover of original Filipino music (OPM).

Archuleta has a close link with the Philippines, as he previously stayed here for quite some time while working for the TV5 mini series ‘Nandito Ako’ in 2012.

It was also during that year when he recorded and released his all-Filipino album ‘Forevermore,’ where he covered the namesake Side A song, ‘Nandito Ako,’ and South Border’s ‘Rainbow.’

David joined seventh season of reality-singing competition ‘American Idol’ in 2008, where he finished as that season’s runner-up.

He went on to carve his own solo career and released tracks like ‘Crush,’ ‘A Little Too Not Over You,’ and ‘Touch My Hand,’ among others.
