After the successful ticketing day for the first night last Saturday.
On Tuesday, August 27, ticket selling began for the newly-added second night of original Filipino music (OPM) singer Maki’s solo ‘Maki-Concert’ in November.
“O, bakit ba kinikilig na naman ako? kasi for the 2nd time, SOLD OUT NA NAMAN ANG MAKI-CONCERT! mahal namin kayo, mga dilaw,” the official social media post of his parent label Tarsier Records read.
‘Maki-Concert’ was previously set as a one-night-only event that will take place at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on November 29, 2024.
However, following the success of the ticket selling for the first night last Saturday, August 24, Maki’s management announced on Monday, August 26, the staging of a second evening.
Day 2 will happen the following day on November 30, 2024, still at the same venue.
Maki went viral on social media in 2023, thanks to his Filipino or English translations of popular Korean pop songs like NewJeans’ ‘Ditto’ and ‘Super Shy,’ and IVE’s ‘After Like.’
He then went on to release his original song ‘Saan?’, which was later followed by ‘Bakit?’ and ‘Kailan?’.
Last May 2024, Maki dropped the viral song ‘Dilaw,’ where he featured Bini member Maloi Ricalde in the music video for the song.
Through the song, he became the first OPM artist to make it to the top of the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart when it was launched in July 2024.
Maki is also set to release his upcoming single ‘Namumula’ on Friday, August 30, 2024.
