On Sunday, June 9, actors Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony that was held in Silang, Cavite.
ABS-CBN News, the news bureau of their mother studio ABS-CBN, reported that principal sponsors in the wedding are some of the network’s executives led by President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Director Charo Santos-Concio, Head of Entertainment Laurenti Dyogi, and former Star Cinema Managing Director Olivia M. Lamasan.
Fellow Kapamilya stars are also part of the entourage, such as Sue Ramirez, Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, Loisa Andalio, Elisse Joson, Alexa Ilacad, Adrian Lindayag, and Ketchup Eusebio.
While details about the secret wedding were kept under wraps for the most part, a social media post that went rounds online revealed that a wedding ceremony involving Aquino and Dizon will be taking place on Sunday, June 9.
The rumor was further lit when Carlo Aquino himself uploaded a prenuptial photo of him with Charlie Dizon on his personal Instagram account on earlier today.
Aquino and Dizon were first rumored to be dating in late 2022. For the most part, they have kept their relationship out of the spotlight, except when Carlo admitted his relationship with Charlie in an interview in January 2023, which was later followed by the actress’ confirmation on live television in July 2023.
Their real-life romance was also brought to the big screen, when they starred together in the film ‘Third World Romance’ under ABS-CBN Films’ Black Sheep unit and ANIMA Studios.
It was also through the said movie that Charlie bagged her Gawad Urian Best Actress award on last night, Saturday, June 8.
