The Korean pop group is back in Manila!
All-female K-pop group TWICE is back in Manila as they are set to hold a fan meeting event for their Filipino ONCEs on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
The event, which is in conjunction with a Filipino snacks brand the nine-member group endorses, will be held this evening at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The fan meeting marks TWICE’s return to the Philippines, eight months after their successful two-night ‘Ready To Be’ concert at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on September 30 and October 1, 2023.
However, member Chaeyoung was not able to participate in the said concert “due to her health condition,” the group’s management JYP Entertainment said in their statement back then.
TWICE was formed in 2015 through the survival show ‘Sixteen,’ and debuted that same year with the song “Like OOH-AHH.”
After that, they went on to release multiple massive hit songs, including “Cheer Up,” “TT,” “Knock Knock,” “LIKEY,” “Heartshaker,” “What Is Love?,” “Yes or Yes,” “FANCY,” “Feel Special,” and much more, which cemented their status as “The Nation’s Girl Group” of South Korea for K-pop’s “third generation.”
In recent years, some members have also debuted as soloists. Nayeon was the first when she released “POP” in 2022, followed by Jihyo with “Killin’ Me Good” last year.
