The Kapuso newscasts are making adjustments to their respective time slots.
Starting Monday, June 3, 2024, GMA Integrated News’ longest-running late-morning/midday newscast ‘Balitanghali’ and its longest-running Filipino newscast on late-night ‘Saksi’ will be both seen on much earlier time slots.
First of, ‘Balitanghali,’ anchored by Raffy Tima and Connie Sision, will move to its earliest slot in its nearly-19 years on the air.
The GTV newscast will be re-expanded to a full hour and will air weekdays at 10:00 am.
It will take over the vacated slot of ‘Regional TV News,’ which aired its final edition on Friday, May 31.
In lieu, reports from the Regional TV bureaus across the country will be incorporated in the revamped ‘Balitanghali,’ which will continue to emanate from the GMA Network Center in Quezon City.
Meanwhile, over to the main GMA-7 channel, late-night newscast ‘Saksi’ will be shifted 30 minutes earlier than its current time slot at 10:50 pm.
Starting June 3, the program will be airing at 10:20 pm, right after ‘Asawa ng Asawa Ko’ and before the Korean drama series ‘Shooting Stars,’ which will be moved to 11:00 pm.
The transfer of ‘Saksi,’ anchored by Arnold Clavio and Pia Arcangel, to its new time slot ends the conflicting schedule between the Kapuso newscast and another GMA Integrated News program, ‘State of the Nation,’ fronted by Maki Pullido and Atom Araullo,
Since last April until this evening, ‘Saksi’ and ‘SONA’ have aired concurrent to one another.
‘Saksi’ ran from 10:50 pm to 11:30 pm on GMA, while ‘State of the Nation’ airs from 11:05 pm to 11:25 pm on GTV and will continue to broadcast at that slot amidst the programming changes.
The new time slots for ‘Balitanghali’ and ‘Saksi’ will take effect on Monday, June 3.
