The ‘Kings of P-pop’ are ending their world tour at the very same place where it all began.
Filipino male pop group SB19 is set to hold a two-night finale concert of their ‘PAGTATAG!’ world tour on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The said venue was where the world tour was officially kicked off by the group with another two-nighter concert last June 2023
After which, SB19 brought the ‘PAGTATAG!’ concert tour to A’TINs in Davao, Bacolod, before flying to the United States of America and Canada.
Prior to the final back-to-back concert in Quezon City, they also took the stage in the United Arab Emirates and Japan.
SB19 is composed of five members, namely Josh Cullen, Pablo Nase, Stell Ajero, Felip ‘Ken’ Suson, and Justin de Dios.
They made their debut in the Filipino pop or P-pop scene back in 2018.
The following year, in 2019, they achieved their first mainstream success through the breakthrough single ‘Go Up.’
After that, they went on to release more hit singles like ‘ALAB,’ ‘MAPA,’ ‘BAZINGA,’ and ‘GENTO’ — which came from the tour’s namesake album released last May 2023 — which helped them cement their stature as ‘Kings of P-pop.’
Recently, SB19 dropped the single ‘Moonlight,’ which is their collaboration with Ian Asher and Terry Zhong.
They are also the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) back in 2021.
