The pay TV-only simulcast of Radyo 630 will carry on.

The pay TV-only simulcast of Radyo 630 will carry on.

Media Serbisyo Corporation, the joint venture between Prime Media Holdings and ABS-CBN, has shared the future plans for its pay TV news channel Teleradyo Serbisyo after the discontinuation of Sky Cable’s operation later this month.

According to MSC, aside from its programs being heard through AM radio on DWPM Radyo 630, Teleradyo Serbisyo will be seen from February 27, 2024 onwards via 183 cable and satellite TV operators nationwide, including Converge Vision in Metro Manila.

The news channel will also eventually become available on satellite pay TV operator GSat soon, the network confirmed.

TRS will also continue live streaming online via the Teleradyo Serbisyo YouTube channel and on iWantTFC.

Abroad, coverage and programs from Teleradyo Serbisyo will be provided by The Filipino Channel (TFC).

Its “half-sister” channel ANC or the ABS-CBN News Channel will also be facing the similar fate.

ANC recently announced that they will be available in about 200 pay TV operators nationwide after Sky Cable’s shutdown, the count includes Converge Vision in Metro Manila.

Episode highlights and live streams will be uploaded on the ANC 24/7 and ABS-CBN News YouTube channels, with an ANC Premium live stream set to become available soon for YouTube Premium subscribers.

Full episodes of ANC shows are also streamed via iWanTFC.

Like Teleradyo Serbisyo, ANC programs will also be carried by The Filipino Channel for viewers abroad.

ANC’s flagship primetime newscast ‘The World Tonight’ is also seen via the Kapamilya Channel on pay TV and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube.

Both news channels are not available on the leading pay TV operator in the country, Cignal TV, as they instead offer rival news channels One News and One PH.

Although, ABS-CBN’s entertainment channels Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, Myx, Metro Channel, Cinema One, and CineMo! are available on both Cignal TV and sister service Satlite.

The end of Sky Cable broadcasts after more than 3 decade comes as the PLDT-Sky deal closes nearly a year after it was inked by the parties in March 2023.

It had since been appoved by regulatory bodies, including the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) which gave the final greenlight on January 19, 2024.
