Three current Primetime Bida dramas made viewership records.
On Monday, September 11, ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye recorded all-time high views on the network’s Kapamilya Online Live platform on Facebook and YouTube.
The streak began with the first slot series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” which broke its own record anew. In its episode that evening, the drama showed the tying of knot between Ramon (Christopher de Leon) and Mokang (Lovi Poe) and the ensuing chaos at the wedding. For Tanggol (Coco Martin), his gang devise a plan to escape, but aborted the mission after realizing that they don’t have weapons to combat the guards.
The FPJBQ episode registered 478,297 peak concurrent live views on KOL, which is the series’ all-time high.
On the linear TV front, the episode is also the highest-rated episode of the Coco Martin-led drama. According to Nielsen NUTAM People’s ratings, FPJBQ made an outstanding 15.9% viewership (cumulated from the simulcast screening on A2Z, TV5, Kapamilya Channel, and CineMo!).
It trailed the debut of its new rival program on GMA, “Maging Sino Ka Man,” which had 11.4% for its first episode.
The television ratings alone makes it the highest viewership of an ABS-CBN program in 2023, as well as the second highest rating of the network post-shutdown, only behind the finale of Coco Martin’s previous show “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” on August 12, 2022.
Meanwhile, Richard Gutierrez’s “The Iron Heart” also did not disappoint that night as viewers tuned in to Apollo (Gutierrez) attempts to take Priam (Albert Martinez) away from the CIB led by Menandro (Ian Veneracion). This, as he aims to bring Tatsulok back to its glory and destroy Altare.
TIH garnered peak concurrent views of 451,538, the new all-time high for both the series and the second drama slot of Primetime Bida on KOL.
“Senior High” with Andrea Brillantes also packed a revelation-filled episode, as Harry (Baron Geisler) is unmasked by his son Archie (Elijah Canlas) as the biological father of Sky and Luna (both played by Brillantes) to the rest of his family. Over at Northford, Sky continues to look for clues regarding the death of Luna, with Lydia (Sylvia Sanchez) now also assisting her in doing that.
SH posted 152,702 peak concurrent views on Kapamilya Online Live, the series’ all-time high record since premiering last August 28.
The respective programs have also expressed their gratefulness towards their viewers for the momentous night.
Kapamilya Online Live debuted as a platform of ABS-CBN in August 2020 to bring the network’s original entertainment and news programming to audiences on Facebook and YouTube. The service complements iWantTFC, among other digital and pay TV assets owned by the corporation.
