Last Monday, August 7, 2023, Korean pop male group THE BOYZ released their latest single ‘Lipgloss’. The song is part of their summer album “Phantasy” released on the same day.
The music video for ‘Lipgloss’ was shot in Siargao, southern Philippines, and helped exposed the beauty of the island to a brand new audience online. This, as the MV is nearing 20 million views as of publication.
Featured in the six-minute-long video are the 11 members of THE BOYZ, namely Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Haknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric.
Meanwhile, the behind the scenes snaps of the members made “Christmas in August” come true for DEOBIs. Juyeon’s photo with a surfboard, for one, has reached 1 million likes on their Instagram account.
In a TikTok clip, member Sunwoo even drank a popular beer brand in the country.
They have also since released an ‘MV Making Film’ that gives peek onto the process of the production of the video.
Apart from shooting the music video, THE BOYZ visited the country last July 15 for their one-night-only concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The said event was part of their ‘ZENERATION’ world tour series.
