It is the organization’s first “omni plug” after its relaunch.
On August 7, 2023, GMA Intergrated News unveiled its new omnibus plug.
The said video, which runs for 2 minutes, highlights the organization’s current and past coverages of both manmade and natural events.
Personalities and reporters from the main headquarters in Manila, Super Radyo, GMA News Online, and GMA Regional TV, have joined forces for the said material.
Aside from that, the rebranded news org gives emphasis on its new mission statement. “Mas malaking misyon. Mas pinalawak na paglilingkod,” while also keeping its tagline “The News Authority of the Filipino.”
The omnibus plug serves as the official symbol for the new era of GMA Integrated News, which was formerly known as simply GMA News.
It can be recalled that in late 2022, the news department of GMA Network was rebranded to such name after the *you guessed it* integration of the Manila news bureau and online newsdesk with the Regional TV news group, and Super Radyo team.
Moreover, it also signaled the formal split between the News group and the Public Affairs division, both of which were marketed under the unified umbrella of GMA News and Public Affairs for decades.
In recent years, however, the Public Affairs group have also dabbled into the production of entertainment shows, and have also expanded to scripted threatrical films as of late, on top of their documentary and lifestyle programs on TV.
