The celebrity couple have sealed the deal.
On July 28, 2023, ‘E.A.T.’ host and actress Maine Mendoza, and award-winning actor and Quezon City representative Arjo Atayde have tied the knot, marking a new chapter in their relationship. The wedding, which was held in Baguio City, was attended by many personalities in the local showbiz scene.
The list is led by, of course, Atayde’s mom Sylvia Sanchez, sister Ria Atayde. Arjo’s fellow Kapamilya actors Enchong Dee and Joseph Marco served as two of his groomsmen.
Maine, meanwhile, had bridesmaids in Maja Salvador, MJ Lastimosa, Sheena Halili, and Ciara Sotto, among others.
Principal sponsors of the wedding were led by TVJ — Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon. Antonio ‘Tony’ Tuviera of TAPE and APT, Deo Endrinal head of ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape unit, and ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and Maricel Soriano were also among the showbiz figures listed as sponsors.

July 28 is an important date in Arjo and Maine’s relationship. Exactly a decade ago, on July 28, 2013, a young Maine Mendoza tweeted “Arjo cutie” on her Twitter account. Years later, the said post had gone viral, after netizens unearthed it and described it as an epitome of “how manifestation works.”
In 2018, on the same day, the two crossed paths for the first time for the story conference of Vic Sotto’s Metro Manila Film Festival entry that year, ‘Jack Em Popoy’. That same year, in December, rumors were first floated regarding Arjo and Maine’s romantic relationship. Mendoza later confirmed in her blog in early 2019 that they were indeed a couple already by that time.
Three years later, on July 28, 2022, Arjo proposed to Maine in an intimate gathering with their respective family members.
