CNN Philippines returns to YouTube a week after ‘termination’

The local version of CNN has made its triumphant comeback to the video-sharing platform.

In an announcement on Wednesday, CNN Philippines shared that they have successfully restored their YouTube channel. It can be recalled that the news channel’s account on the platform was “terminated” last week by the platform over an alleged “third-party copyright infringement claims.”

YouTube or Google did not make a statement about the matter. But CNNPH at that point said that “they are working hard” to bring back the channel online.

The “termination” of the news channel’s account came after the unrelated removal of SMNI-owned and linked channels to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy from the platform. This, as YouTube said that these channels are “violation of terms of service.”
