(JULY 16, 2023) On Sunday morning, the partner of Ricky Rivero confirmed on social media the passing of the actor-director.
He also thanked friends and colleagues who had helped Rivero during his difficult times and his eventual passing.
According to PEP’s interview with Rivero’s uncle actor Philip Salvador, Ricky suffered a stroke in May.
It also happened 8 years after he had a heart attack in 2015.
Rivero’s wake will be held at the Loyola Memorial Chapel in Quezon City.
Rivero was known to be part of ‘That’s Entertainment’ in the late ’80s, before becoming a character actor and director.
Some of his memorable projects are ‘Praybeyt Bejamin,’ ‘Moron 5,’ where he also worked as the assistant director of the late Wenn Deramas.
He also was part of the directing teams of teleseryes, primarily in ABS-CBN.
