Missing submersible in Atlantic Ocean found near Titanic
FRIDAY (Manila time), Oceangate, the company behind the submersible that sank in the Atlantic Ocean, confirmed that all 5 men on board the sub have died. Company says that they “grieve the loss of life” because of this incident.
The US Coast Guard has also likewise confirmed that the debris found is consistent with the parts of the missing Titan submersible. USCG also offered their condolences to the bereaved families of the crew.
The US Coast Guard says what happened to the Titan submersible is a “catastrophic implosion.” USGC also added that the debris from Titan were also found about 1600 feet from the wreckage of the Titanic.
