It seems that nothing can stop the man from going viral on social media.
On Tuesday, June 20, P-pop boy group BGYO appeared on ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show ‘It’s Showtime’ to promote their song ‘Extraordinary’ from BE:US. But the group’s appearance did not end there, as they also joined in on the fun in the ‘Rampanalo’ segment.
For context, Kapitan Gelo and Akira became the designated computerist that day or the duo that were assigned to compute the prize that the contestant will bring home in ‘Rampanalo’. The twist is, they will do a certain consequence should they not get the correct answer. Spoiler: they got some answers wrong.
JL, meanwhile, was one of the handlers of the boxes. Mikki and Nate still participated by being active watchers throughout the segment.
In true BGYO fashion, their appearance in the program was full of meme-worthy moments… and some of those went viral on social media.
Kapitan Gelo, in particular, caught the attention of netizens in the said episode. Some of them pointed out the duality of Gelo, who in one part is full of charismatic aura, and in the other, is a walking meme.
Yet again, he has proven that he has the ability to go viral with the simplest of things. As a matter of fact, this two-second-long clip of Gelo just being himself has been viewed 600,000 times, as of publication.

Amidst all of these, Gelo has uploaded the following pictures on social media. This post has since triggered a whole lot of response from Aces, and has been seen about 100,000 times since its upload last night.
This is not the first time that Gelo trended on social media. In late February this year, his now iconic 2×2 photo went rounds online. To date, that original post has been viewed 1.9 million times on Twitter.
