PNR will temporarily close Alabang to Calamba route in July.
(JUNE 4, 2023) – On July 2, 2023, the Philippine National Railways (PNR) will close its Alabang to Calamba route for 5 years, or until 2028, to facilitate the construction of the new North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR). The new line will run on PNR tracks and will add access from Tutuban, Manila all the way north to Clark, Pampanga.
Meanwhile, to also allow the construction of NSCR, the Tutuban to Alabang route is expected to be temporarily shut in the beginning of October 2023. Some of 30,000 passengers will be affected by the PNR’s temporary closure.
