The animated series has founD a new home.
On July 2, 2021, A2Z Channel 11 posted a teaser on their social media pages regarding “one of D biggest cartoons” finding a new home in the Kapamilya-affiliated channel.
Without a doubt, it is indeed the Japanese animated series Doraemon that is coming soon to A2Z.
Speaking of the teaser, eagle-eyed netizens quickly took notice on the seemingly familiar format of the artcard. Some even mentioned the similarities in the layout of GMA Network’s teaser on the transfer of former ABS-CBN star Bea Alonzo and A2Z’s apparent “shade” or nod to that.
Doraemon first aired on ABS-CBN via the broadcast of Stand By Me, Doraemon film in March 2016. Later on, broadcasts of the animated series eventually moved to ABS via Yey and iWant in 2019. However, because of the 2020 broadcast shutdown of the Kapamilya network, Doraemon is now moving to A2Z Channel 11 — which is owned by Zoe Broadcasting Network and blocktimed by ABS-CBN.
