GMA, GTV primetime dramas to be aired on Heart of Asia

The Kapuso network is set to execute another programming strategy come Monday night.

On Monday, March 15, GMA is set to launch a brand new teleserye starring Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez titled First Yaya. Produced by the GMA Entertainment Group, First Yaya is also the Telebabad block’s second offering for 2021, following Owe My Love which began airing last month. But, it won’t just be a Telebabad series after all.

Just a few days before the series’ launch, GMA Network announced on Thursday that First Yaya will be airing simultaneously on channel 7, GTV, and Heart of Asia. This marks the first time that a concurrent Kapuso drama will air on both channel 27 and HOA.

As a result of FY’s placement on GTV, the channel’s flagship primetime drama The Lost Recipe will be moving to the second slot (after 24 Oras) at 8:50pm. Aside from that, the last 3 weeks of the Public Affairs-produced fantasy-romance drama is also set to be simulcasted on the Heart of Asia Channel.

As an effect of this shakeup, State of the Nation with Atom Araullo and Maki Pulido is going to be airing at 9:35pm, followed by the Regional TV Strip at 10:20pm. The rebroadcast of the 2009 hit Korean drama Boys Over Flowers moves to a later timeslot at 10:55pm. Meanwhile, the replay telecast of Love, Actually will cap the lineup at 11:25pm.

First Yaya will begin airing on Monday at 8:00pm on GMA, GTV, and Heart of Asia Channel on digital TV. Meanwhile, The Lost Recipe’s final 3 weeks will be aired on its new timeslot at 8:50pm on GTV and Heart of Asia.
