Is it true? Yes: Hwang In Yeop studied in the Philippines

Before he starred as a student in “True Beauty”, he was first a student in the Philippines.

On January 6, 2021, several posts online went viral with regards to actor Hwang In-yeop. According to a certain Twitter user (which was later picked up by blogger Gia Allana), In Yeop (known as In-youp in the country) studied in the Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School in Davao for his secondary education. Furthermore, he had also indeed won as “Mr. Intrams” during those days.

Hours later, according to a Facebook page called FADSO, Hwang actually have a degree in fashion design. By the year 2012, he had finished his tertiary education in the Philippine Women’s College also in Davao. When he was still a student, he also joined FADSO or the Fine Arts and Design Students Organization, which happens to be an organization affiliated with the PWC.

He’s also endearingly referred to by his English name “Ryan” by his colleagues at the said school.

Filipino fans were also quick to find an old academic video output involving the actor. However, to protect the privacy of his classmates, the said video wouldn’t be embedded on this post.

The actor and his agency are yet to confirm or make a statement about the trending topic.

Previously, his fellow True Beauty star and ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo personally confirmed that he studied in the country for an undisclosed amount of time during his childhood.
