NTC Commissioner Cordoba said during the House hearing on ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal bid that the airing of the network’s programs via DTT channel 43 is included in the cease-and-desist order issued on May 5. This is after denying that the channel is now operated by AMCARA Broadcasting Network, whom ABS-CBN struck a blocktime deal with to carry Jeepney TV and other channels on digital TV. Instead, he affirmed that the frequency is still under ABS-CBN Corporation (despite assigning channel 16 to the company last year).
