The much-anticipated “pink song” is now here.
On Sunday, May 24, original Filipino music (OPM) singer-songwriter Maki has finally released his newest single entitled habangbuhay pansamantala.
Accompanying the said track is a more than five-minute-long music video, which adds depth to the lore created for the Kolorcoaster album as he revisited the location where the video for the first single, Dilaw, was filmed at.
In addition to that, Maki has also tapped SB19 member Justin de Dios as his co-star in the MV, which also featured animated sequences from various Filipino animators — Albert Raqueño, Aniseyuu, Arkin Animation, Cyrill Acuña, LadyUniquecorn, Loren Duzzy, Rwiizo, Sid Gonzales, Sojucco, and Vinsprout.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch of the single, Maki recently announced two special fan events. First is the Pink Fest, which happens at the TriNoma mall in Quezon City on Friday, May 29.
After that, he will be holding the Pink Room at the Quezon Club at Solaire Resort North the following Friday, June 5, with tickets available via Solaire Rewards.
Outside the Philippines, his fans around the region and other parts of the world will be able to witness him perform his hit songs live on stage.
Maki is set to perform at The Theater at Mediacorp in Singapore on June 13, followed by a stop in Jakarta’s Bengkel Space in Indonesia on June 14.
There will also be additional stops in North America, Australia, and New Zealand, with details set to be announced soon.
