On Maundy Thursday, April 2, GMA Network’s news advisory program was formally reintroduced as the GMA News Bulletin.

The said edition, which aired at past 11:00 am, was anchored by reporter Jonathan Andal and dished out the latest news as the Paschal Triduum began.

Formerly known as the GMA Integrated News Bulletin since 2023, the tweaked segment was given a different opening billboard and title card, as well as lower-thirds (L3s), which is a departure from the current shared visual language of all GMA newscast across platforms that has been in use since December 2023.

This retitling happens 3 days after the network’s news division underwent a similar rebranding as it formally embraced anew its previous identity as simply GMA News and revived its long-time “Serbisyong Totoo” tagline.

GMA News Bulletin, meanwhile, was originally launched in April 2023 as the integration of all hourly news bulletins across GMA and GTV into a single brand.

Prior to it, 24 Oras News Alert / Breaking News, were used for the mothership, based on the station’s flagship newscast. Meanwhile, on the latter, secondary channel, it was News Live, which was in turn a refreshed version of News TV Live (which used during its time as GMA News TV).

Curiously, the Bulletin was also when Heart of Asia, I Heart Movies, and the now-defunct Pinoy Hits, began simulcasting the said segment, with the practice ending in late 2023.
