The band will set a new record.
On Wednesday, March 4, original Filipino music (OPM) band Cup Of Joe announced a surprise for their fans, Joewahs.
The team, for the first time ever, will mount a concert at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan, where they will make history as the first local band to hold a show at the said venue.
Entitled Sandali, the concert will happen on May 23, 2026, and will be directed by Paolo Valencaino. At present, details, including the seat map and ticket selling dates, are yet to be revealed.
“This summer, we’re making history at the Philippine Sports Stadium as the first OPM act to stage a solo concert at this venue — and we’re doing it together, Joewahs!” read the post of the band.
They added, “Get ready for one unforgettable summer night of water splashes, lights, and thousands of voices under one sky. This night is for everyone who believed, stayed, and loved.”
Prior to this, the band had staged successful multi-part solo concerts at the New Frontier Theater and the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City in the past few years.
Cup of Joe was formed in Baguio City in 2018, with the debut taking place a year later. The band gained following with the release of their extended play Patutunguhan, which carried the songs Tingin featuring Janine Teñoso, Tataya, and Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko.
in September 2024, a few months ahead of the Silakbo album’s release in early 2025, the single Multo was dropped.
That song propelled COJ to the top of the charts after reaching the number 1 spot in the respective national charts of music streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music.
In March 2025, the band dropped the music video that starred real-life couple Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo, with the nearly six-minute long video having crossed 20 million mark on YouTube last February.
