In the episode that aired last Saturday, August 23, GMA’s longest-running sitcom ‘Pepito Manaloto’ tackled the story of one of the Manaloto family’s househelpers, Maria, which is portrayed by actress Janna Dominguez.
As she was preparing for the 8th birthday celebration of her daughter, Baby Baby, the child was accompanied by Maria‘s mother, Linda (Jean Saburit) and visited the mansion.
But another surprise came as Mario (Joross Gamboa) came back to the Philippines from Dubai and became reunited with Maria and Baby Baby.
Mario also explained the reason behind his disappearance and shared that now that they have reconected, he intends to bring along his family with him abroad.
When Pepito (Michael V) and Elsa (Manilyn Reynes) asked the couple of what their plans are, Maria broke into tears as she realized that she will be leaving behind the household and the bond that she has formed with them over the years.
They then assured Baby (Mosang) and Linda that they are already decided with their plans to move abroad and start anew.
Janna’s temporary leave from the show comes as she enters the last trimester of her pregnancy with her second child with her real-life partner, Mickey Ablan.
The couple first shared the news in a Facebook post last July, where they showed the sonogram of the baby boy.
In a recent TikTok video, Dominguez even showed her baby bump and answered some questions and comments from fans of the sitcom.
