The top-trending drama series of the year will be coming back for its second season soon.
Last Saturday, August 16, VIVA TV released the three-minute-long teaser trailer for the upcoming second book of the much-talked about digital series of the year, ‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E’.
This chapter, dubbed as ‘The Dark Side,’ sees the return of Ashtine Olviga and Andres Muhlach as their beloved characters Jayjay Mariano and Mark Keifer Watson.
However, in the first minute of the clip alone, fans and viewers are greeted with the drastic change in tone of the story, as Jayjay reminisced her memories with the gang and later getting mad at Keifer—who then regrets hurting her feelings.
But this season will not just be about them, as new faces will enter the scene and bring another layer to the story by unearthing old secrets.
Veteran actor Joko Diaz is in as Kaizer Watson, Nathalie Hart will play Serina Watson, Jeffrey Hidalgo is Andy, Billy Villeta will play Dylan, and Rhen Escaño as Honey Bee Ryder.
Taneo of the P-pop group ALAMAT will also make his acting debut in the second season as Ryosuke Sato, along with another newcomer, Austin Dizon, who will be Jason.
“The ghost of the past will haunt the present,” the trailer further revealed.
The second season was first announced in May 2025 during the fan meeting of the original cast members at the New Frontier Theater to celebrate the show’s successful three-month run on the streaming service Viva One.
‘AMNSE’ is the 16-episode live action adaptation of the Wattpad novel created by Lara Flores and was streamed exclusively on the platform from January to April 2025.
After which, TV5 picked up the mini-series for a primetime free-to-air television run from May until July.
Aside from Ashtine and Andres, also part of the first season were Rabin Angeles, André Yllana, Ethan David, Charles Law, Derick Ong, Michael Keith, AJ Ferrer, Daniel Ong, Frost Sandoval, Keagan De Jesus, Kurt Delos Reyes, Kyosu Guinto, Martin Venegas, Nic Galvez, Sam Shoaf, Yanyan De Jesus, Angela Muji, Heart Ryan, Rafa Victorino, Jastine Lim, and Sara Joe.
Veteran actress Nanette Inventor, Lander Vera Perez, Yayo Aguila, and Katya Santos were also seen in the series.
